The 2006 Gillette Prestobarba Excel Clausura Tournament was the second and final tournament of the 2005–06 Argentine Primera División football season . It began on January 27 and ended on May 14.

Club Atlético Boca Juniors secured their second championship, once again under the coaching staff of Alfio Basile , winning their last seven consecutive matches. They secured their 28th Primera División title, and their 22nd in the professional era, and secured their qualification for the 2007 Copa Libertadores .
