Alfredo Mostarda Filho, simply known as Alfredo (born on October 18, 1946, in São Paulo) is a former Brazilian footballer who played as a defender.
In a long career (from 1966 to 1984) he played for Palmeiras, Cruzeiro, Nacional (AM), Coritiba, Santos, and ending up in Bolivia with team Jorge Wilstermann. He won two Campeonatos Brasileiros Série A (1972, 1973) and two Campeonatos Paulistas (1972, 1974) with Palmeiras. For the Brazilian team he played twice, both in 1974, and his second match for Brazil came at the 1974 FIFA World Cup in a 0-1 loss against the Poland team.

Match Facts:

Argentina v. Palmeiras
In the run-up to the match against Palmerias on April 15, 1973, Enrique Omar Sívori , coach of the National Team, resigned from his position, leaving PF Jorge Kinstermacher in charge of the team , who due to this situation coached a National Team match for the only time.

The coach's resignation was the consequence of a series of discrepancies with the leaders, specifically Plinio Garibaldi and the controller Bruzzone, among them the players' awards after the tour (against Mexico 0–2, West Germany 3–2 and Israel 1 –1), the mistreatment of his assistants and the assistants of the youth team (PF Julio Santella did not have a contract) and the organization of the friendlies. For example the match against Palmeiras.
