Claudio Paul Caniggia ( Henderson , Buenos Aires ; January 9, 1967) is a former Argentine footballer who played as a forward . He is known for his career in Europe and the Argentine national team , nicknamed worldwide as " The Son of the Wind " for his speed on the field of play.
With the Albiceleste he was runner-up at the 1990 World Cup in Italy , scoring two memorable goals: against Brazil in the round of 16, 2 and against Italy in the semi-finals. In addition, he won the 1991 Copa América , the 1992 FIFA Confederations Cup and the 1993 Conmebol-UEFA Champions Cup with his team.
