Another historic night for River Plate. In a packed Monumental Stadium, painted in red and white, Marcelo Gallardo's team achieved the goal they had fought so hard for in the second half of the season. After 17 years, and once again with "El Muñeco" as the star, the Millionaires reached the top of the continent.


In a first half where River relied on Marcelo Barovero's strong responses, Teo Gutiérrez had several clear chances to open the scoring, but the opposing goalkeeper thwarted his attempts on every opportunity. However, the celebration began in the second half.


In a flurry of goals, Gabriel Mercado and Germán Pezzella, with two brilliant headers after crosses from Leonardo Pisculichi's corner, scored the goals that sealed River's second title. The team earned a well-deserved championship, and the fans had a celebratory end to the year.
