Text of the Jury's ruling for the World Championship announcing sheet contest

In Montevideo, on the 25th day of September 1929, the Jury met in the ground floor room of the Montevideo Athenaeum, who was entrusted with the mission of ruling in the poster contest for the 1930 world soccer championship promoted by the association.Examining the works presented that were exhibited in the aforementioned room and after establishing that they all met the conditions required in the contest rules, the Jury decided that it was appropriate to vote, which was done immediately with the following result.For the first prize, Mr. Domingo Bazzurro, José Sierra Morató, Julio Iturbide and Octavio de los Campos gave their votes in favor of the poster with the motto Arquero, and Mr. César Vázquez Pacheco, for the one carried by Juan.For the second prize, Mr. Domingo Bazzurro, José Sierra Morató, and Octavio Los Campos gave their vote in favor of the cuco poster, and Mr. César Battle, Pacheco, for the one with the champion motto, and Mr. Julio, I Forget You, for the aforementioned Cup de Teté motto.

For the third prize, Mr. Domingo Bazzurro, José Sierra Morató, Julio Iturbide, Octavio Ocampo and César Bate Pacheco, voted in favor of the Victory motto sheet, thus awarding the prizes to the Jury. The Jury proceeded to open the envelopes with indicated mottos, verifying that they corresponded to the following authors:

Motto Archer Mr. Guillermo Laborde motto Cuco Mr. Héctor Guerra and Óscar Gambini motto Victory Mr. Guillermo Laborde.

Consequently, the Jury proclaimed them winners of the determined contest that the result of the Uruguayan football association will be announced for the purposes of distributing the prizes, exhibition of the posters, etc.

The Jury decided to record the following: that the letters corresponding to the poster that won the first prize must be modified by its author so that they are more legible.

Two that the Jury, before issuing its ruling, established that the posters that presented the word first in number and in letter were within the bases of the contest without distinction.

And in witness of the foregoing, all the members of the Sunday Azzurro Jury sign the document Octavio de los Campos César Battle Pacheco Julio Iturbide and José Sierra Moratón.
