Hugo Alberto Morales ( Buenos Aires , Argentina, July 30, 1974) is a former Argentine footballer who played as an attacking midfielder. Known for his technical ability, game vision and precision in the shot, "Huguito" stood out in Club Atlético Lanús , Tenerife , Atlético Nacional .

Hugo Morales played for Argentina from 1995 to 1996, accumulating nine caps and scoring two goals. He was part of the team that participated in the 1996 Atlanta Olympics , where Argentina won the silver medal after losing the final to Nigeria. Although his talent positioned him as a strong candidate for the 1998 World Cup in France , an illness sidelined him from the squad and hindered his rise on the international stage. His return to football after this incident was celebrated, but he was unable to regain his place in the national team.
