Gerónimo "Cacho" Saccardi ( Buenos Aires , October 1, 1949 - Palermo , May 4, 2002) was an Argentine soccer player , his position was that of a classic number 5 in the middle of the field. His name was Gerónimo, but he was always known as Cacho . He is considered the greatest sporting idol of the Ferro Carril Oeste Club , where in 2017 a monument was erected in his memory!

Cacho Saccardi made his debut in the First Division on March 22, 1969 in Ferro Carril Oeste . He participated in this team in the seasons from 1969 to 1975 and 1979 to 1983, being crowned National Champion in 1982, undefeated. He played a total of 401 games and scored 48 goals. 
From 1975 to 1979 he played for Hércules in Spain .
He made his debut as a technical director alongside Oscar Garré , managing Ferro Carril Oeste in 1996. He then remained alone in charge of Ferro from 1997 to 1999. He later managed Gimnasia y Esgrima de Jujuy .
