He was product of the lower divisions of Vélez Sarsfield , he played all his lower divisions as a central defender. However, he made his professional debut as a right back, when on June 5, 1988 he debuted for the Liniers team in a goalless draw against San Lorenzo .The following season, he was loaned to Quilmes During the '90s he had his golden age playing for Vélez Sarsfield, winning titles at local, continental and intercontinental level, achieving the 1994 Intercontinental Cup after defeating AC Milan in Tokyo.
In Argentine football he also defended the shirts of Estudiantes de la Plata , San Lorenzo, Deportivo Español and Chacarita Juniors all in the first division.
